HAPPY 11 MONTHS REESE

It is that time of year when schedules are beyond crazy!!! and we cannot forget to mention that our entire family has a horrible cold!!
So,  I am a bit late on posting what my little girl is up to at 11 months : )
My goal is to use this blog as a baby diary about Reese and everything she is doing.  I feel like I still have pregnancy brain and forget almost everything.

I cannot believe she is already 11 months.  Time needs to SLOW down.....
She is between 21 and 23 pounds now.  As I mentioned before she had a horrible cold and was not eating much food, so she lost a little weight.
Reese has had a couple of colds and stomach bugs throughout the year but would still be pretty happy and play .... fortunately they would only last about a day.    This time was horrible! She slept for 2-1/2 days !!!!!! She was so pathetic and it nearly broke my heart to see her so weak and sick. She had a terrible cough, wheezing and 2 ear infections!!!  The doctor said it was a upper respiratory infection and we just had to wait it through.  We did get a chest x-ray to make sure it was nothing worse...... THANK GOD it was just a cold!!!!!
I think it is one of the worse experiences in the world to see your child sick.

This month was a bit hectic with all our traveling and we had a lot of family come in town to see Reese.
We had one of our Sorority Sisters shower at our house the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Her baby is due on the 6th of Jan.  A day after Reese's : )
Then our Memmy, Aunt Wanda, and Uncle Gary came into town for the day to play with Reese.
The next day we headed to South Carolina to see Uncle B, Nannie and Paw - Paw for Thanksgiving! Reese had a great time playing with all of Daddy's toys : 0 She also got a kitchen from Nannie and Paw-Paw that she absolutely loves!!!!  Hope she can cook better then her mama : )
Her Uncle B got her a little toy pony to ride and she is almost too big for it now.  She is getting really tall!
She also learned how to go up stairs at Nannie's but has no clue how to get down.  She just kinda falls back and knows someone will catch her...HA!

When we got back in town we went to see Santa.  Reese almost started crying. she wasn't sure what to do and just kinda froze....no expression on her face. We also went to a friends open house the same night and wouldn't you know it....ALL the kids there got sick (the same thing as R).

Grandma Boo and Grandpa came to see Reese the next day for the weekend and bless her heart she was too sick to really play.  She would sleep, wake up and play for a little bit and then go right back to sleep :(
Grandma Boo had a good time reading to her and got a lot of holding time.

Some of the things she likes to do now:
Carry around a book or one of her purses.
She also loves to put things in and take things out of her purse.
She likes to bring things to us.
She figured out that she LOVES rolls, crackers, yogurt and blueberries!
She still loves to dance and clap her hands to music.  Her favorite song is "if your happy and you know it clap your hands"
She waves to everyone!
She waves both hands up in the air when she is really mad or really excited!!
She will also clench up her fist real tight and wave them in the air when she wants something....like to get down from her highchair.
Her little face lights up when she is happy; it is such a blessing to see : )
She loves to open and close everything as well as reach for EVERYTHING!!!! and put it in her month. Especially tissues.
She also likes to crawl over and on top of everything and hide behind curtains.
I caught her pulling out plugs and cords the other day.  She is really quick and we have to be careful!! and always on alert. and then of course she will cry if we take something away from her that she really wanted.
She loves to read books to herself.  We have no clue what she is saying but it sounds great : ) Lots of yayayay, bababab....
She stilll loves bath time thank goodness.
She is still drinking 4 bottles/sippy cups of 4 to 5oz daily. (it is soon time for whole milk...yay!!!!)

I think that is it for now. ....... It is time to start planning for Birthday #1!!!!!
We are probably going to have to have it a week and a half after her real birthday because of the Auburn Game!!!! YAY --Go Tigers!!!!

10 Months old and running...............

Our sweet baby girl is 10 months old!!!!!!
She is 20 pounds and 9 ounces.  She is in the 75th to 95th percentile for height and weight.
She loves to eat mum mums, cheerios, puffs, Gerber toddler meals, crackers.... almost anything she can get her hands on.  The teachers at day care says she always signs for more so they end up giving her part of the lunch that is served in school. Her tummy is huge : )

What we did the week she turned 10 months....
We went to Navarre Beach to babysit 4 week old kittens!!! Grandma Boo and Grandpa rescued two kittens from the wetlands behind their beach house. They are adorable and  Reese loves them!!!  She would screech LOUDLY with excitement and clap her hands every time she saw them.

What Reese is doing now......
She is walking like a champ now and trying to run.  She will still crawl occasionally.
She is saying mamama and dadadadada (she doesn't know what she is saying but we don't care, we get excited over everything she does ( :  )!
She is still drinking the same amount of milk, 4, 5 oz bottles.  Sometimes the teachers give her more at school.
She is starting to copy or try to copy a lot of things we do (waving, clapping, dancing, playing Indian, laughing , smiling and  especially noises....)
She is also starting to throw things and does not understand "no"
She is such a happy baby and always smiling (except when she is tired and/or hungry or falls down...oops).
She also gets mad when we take something from her....  getting spoiled. .....and stubborn : )
She is handing us things now.It is crazy how fast she is learning things.
She is trying to put things together like triangles in the triangle slot.....
She waves to everyone.
Still NO teeth.
She dances when music comes on especially to her bunny hop bunny.
I love it when she walks to us and put her hands up to be held. She still loves to be held, thank goodness!
She follows me around the house and Scott tries to scare her all the time.   She jumps at first and then starts to laugh and smile. (un likeher mom, who screams when she gets scared).
She is opening and closing doors and cabinets.
She tried to reach everything off of tables.  Yes, it is past time to baby proof.  We didn't realize she would be able to reach so many things.  She gets into everything!!!!!
She also likes to eat the rocks out of the fire place......."no,no,no"  .....and not a clue.
She still will take naps with us or in her swing while she watches baby Noah, baby animals, or lullaby baby.
She also watches all these videos while we travel in our car.  She is a pretty good traveler as long as she has something to watch and eat!!!

We love this little girl more than anything.  We are blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The time is just flying by way too fast!!!!!

So many Milestones for 9 months.......

So many great things happening at 9 months for Miss Reese......
She is taking bigger steps, 13 is her max and she is moving a lot quicker.
She dances every time music comes on and will sometimes clap her hands.  Or she will just claps her hands because she wants to.
She is now saying mamamamamamama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (Could be mum mum since she loves them like her friend Luke).
She likes to do Indian and talk why she rides the horsey to town.
She likes to eat sandwiches, veggies, fruit, rice (chicken nuggets per her teacher)......everything we have given her she has liked. (Day Care said she is ready and wants to eat regular food, so I am to start giving her everything I cook for dinner.   HA!! Who has time to cook!!!!!)
She loves to take all my paperwork out of my computer bag, but doesn't like to put it back.
She is now tall enough to reach the top of our end tables.  So, she is grabbing for EVERYTHING in sight.

We went to the doctor yesterday and Reese weighs 20 pounds and 10 ounces.  She is in the 75% for height and weight.
Unfortunately, Reese got her second ear infection....you would never know though because she is happy and plays all the time. The doctor said it is that time of year.  Hopefully, no more or we may need tubes!!!

She is dancing to music now and I think she sings too : )
She can stand up now without holding on to anything and her balance is getting stronger each day.
She loves stuff animals and especially her Tiger from Grandma Boo.
She is still putting everything in her mouth and has NO teeth.
She has control over her sitting now and doesn't just plop down.
She loves to shop (thank goodness).

Playing Peek a Boo (where she is initiating it now)
Walking without holding on to anything (10 steps max)
Waving (and knowing what it is)

How is it 8 months already???  Time is flying by way too fast.

Reese is now over 19 pounds and still growing like a weed.  Her next doctor's appt is at 9 months so we will be sure to get her exact height and weight.

We did a lot of shopping.
We played hookie on Friday and played outside.
We went on a lot of long walks (now that it has cooled of a bit)

7 Months

I can't believe Sweet Baby Reese is 7 months old.

I am not sure how much she weighs now, but we are guessing over 18 pounds. Scott and I measured her height and it was around 26 inches. She is growing like a weed. She has sweet little cheeks now and thighs like her mama : )

What we did this week:
Daddy went to Fl to buy a car!!! An Acadia, so traveling will be much more enjoyable for all of us!
Mama was out of town for most of the week, working in Atlanta. We did manage to play hookie on Friday and played all day!!
We had Aunt Heather's Baby Shower for Fiona and Aunt Melissa came down from Ohio and stayed with us for the weekend! It was a Kappa Reunioun. Reese got to meet Dana, Melissa, Lynette, Lee Kate and Mandy for the first time! I wonder if Reese will be a Kappa.......
Her favorite Uncle B also came to visit!!!

What we are doing now:
Reese loves to crawl and get into everything! She pulls on every cord she can find.
She is also standing now. She pulls herself up on all the tables, people, couches, jumperoos that she can reach.
She bumps her head alot : ( It is hard to catch her sometimes. She is quick!
She is eating three times a day and taking 5 bottles (5 to 6oz).
She loves food and is trying to drink out of a cup. Have not found any fruit she doesn't like. She eats all vegetables as long as they are mixed together. She will not eat peas by themselves. Can you tell her mama is a nutritionist???
Reese is liking her swing again. We will sometimes put her in it for her nap. She likes to watch Baby Noah in it.
I think she can say "HEY" but not exactly sure. I am also not sure is she is waving or just facinated with her hand in the air.
Reese is doing really well in school, they just can't keep up with her moving so much. She will probably move up sooner than excepted.
She still loves to watch herself on video and just laughs and smiles the entire time. It is great to watch. Pure entertainment for her parents!
She is smiling and babbling all the time.
She is sleeping great as well. She goes to bed around 9 and gets up around 630. She is also taking 2 long naps and one short nap daily. I am jealous of her naps!!! I love to nap with her on the weekends and when we play hookie!!

I think it is pretty obvious that we cannot get enough of this precious baby girl. She is an absolute joy and has brought so much love to our lives!!! God is Great and Life is Good!!!!

lost baby

So, today Scott went to pick up Reese from Day School and her teachers said they lost her for a minute........
She crawled away from the play mat and went behind the kitchen area which is way across the room.
She is going to be moving to the next class real soon! They normally move children up at around 8 months + but Reese will probably be going at 7 months : )
She is a mover and a shaker : )

I am crawling!

On Wed, July 21st, Reese stayed home from school because of a fever from the night before. You would never know the sweet baby was sick because she had so much fun playing all day. Well, Scott and I were working on our computers while Reese was on the floor with ALL her toys and out of no where the little princess started crawling!!!!!!!!!!! We are in trouble. I am still in shock that she is crawling at less then 7 months. Time to baby proof the house : )

6-1/2 Months and becoming more active by the minute.

Our Baby Reese is trying her hardest to stand up. Her teachers think she will walk before she crawls. I think she is going to love yoga...... she is doing the downward dog position all the time.

She is also loveing her hands and feels, shakes, pats everything. Sometimes she just puts her hands in the air and twist them back and forth, kind of like she is Miss America and waving to everyone. I wonder if she is seeing if her hand will make noise like her rattle. It is precious.

Another one of my favorite things she does is now she will lift her arms in the air when I get close. She is ready for her mama to hold her and love all over her.

A new game we started to play is "Peek A Boo". I have never seen anyone get so excited. She just laughs and smile non stop.

We are now eating fuits and vegetables and drinking about 30 ounces of milk daily. So far we like all fruits, but our favorite is still squash and sweet potatoes....mmmmmmm.

One more thing to add to her 6- 1/2 month update.......

Her teachers at school give her the most play time on the mat becasue she is so active and likes to move around alot!!! The only thing is is that they have to move all the other kids because she will run them over and poke at them like they are toys. Like I said, she loves to feel and touch everything! Her teacher also said she starts to cry when she is ready to be held and nobody is paying attention. I am not sure why, we never hold her at home.....ha!!! We just love this little precious bundle of joy and cannot get enough of her.

We took your first beach trip to Myrtle Beach with your Nanie, Papa, and Uncle B.

What you are doing now:
You are laughing and smiling all the time. You are such a happy baby!!
You are now enjoying solid foods, Gerber stage 1. You like all the vegetables except for peas. We are just now starting on fruits. You are still drinking a lot of milk....around 35 (sometimes 40) ounces. Some days mama has to give you one formula bottle because she can't keep up.
You love to swim in the pool with your float. You are not to excited about the beach, but you had a great time sleeping on Uncle B while he walked the beach looking for women : )
You are constantly moving around. You like sitting up and being on all fours. It will not be too much longer before you are crawling. You like to hold all your toys and shake them. You also like to feel and scratch everything. You can put your paci in your mouth, but for some reason not at night when you are in your crib. You still like to look in the mirror and always smile at your self. You are taking two long naps at school and short naps on the weekend. You are sleeping for almost 10 hours every nite. We put you down around 8pm and you get up around 6:30 and then off to school at 8:30 am until 4:00. Sometimes we play hookie on Fridays and have mama baby day which of course is my favorite. You also love to be thrown in the air and be up side down.
We love you so much sweet baby girl!!! Thank you for bringing so much joy into our lives!

Firsts:
Eating Gerber Stage 1 for lunch and dinner

We head to Myrtle Beach the end of the month and we know Reese will have a wonderful time!!

We can't wait!

Happy 5 Months Reese

Reese is 5 Months Old!!
It is amazing how fast the time is flying by......

Reese What we did this week:
Well, Reese came down with her first fever and cold, so we have had a lot of fun going to the doctor. Mom and Dad also got sick, so we all got to stay home for a week and have a lot of family time!!
Firsts:
We had our first road trip to Huntsville to visit Uncle B and his brand new beautiful house.
Reese went on her first walk-a-thon for the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. She got a rattle and quickly figured out how to shake it. See video : )
She is picking up toys and anything she can get her hands on. She is also switching toys from hand to another. She shakes everything to see if it makes noise like her rattle :)
She is holding her bottle and feeding herself at times and can sometimes get her paci in her mouth. (we are still working on getting the paci turned the right way.)
She is starting to sit up really well on her own.

What Reese is doing now:
She loves to sit up.
She is also loves to play with all of her toys.
She loves watching PBS in the morning. Some of her favorite shows are: Sid the Science Kid, Curious George, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Super Why and Baby Noah.
She is talking A LOT and giggles when we give her kisses and when she is dancing with daddy!
We think it wont be long before she starts crawling because she is constantly trying to get up on all fours and move around. The other day she was just moving around in circles. She has a lot more energy then her parents!

They made a special trip by car to visit our sweet girl. for the very the first time. of course everyone fell in love with her and couldn't put her down. My Aunt and mom sang and danced with Reese and she just giggled non stop. Memmy got her a sweet pocket book that Reese will not put down. I think she is going to love to shop with her Mama!!

4 Months Old

Happy 4 months baby Reese!!

We had our 4 month check up with Dr Wilson on April 29th. Reese now weighs 14 pounds (75th percentile) and is 25 inches long (75th percentile). She is growing like a weed.

What we are doing now....

Reese started dayschool on May 3rd and absolutely loves it. She smiles at her teachers all the time. So far we have gotten a good report card everyday. The only concern the teachers had was that her diapers were a little snug : ) ha! So, now we are wearing a size 3 diaper... oops!

We started Rice Cereal this week. At first she didn't now what to think of it, but now she is liking it, kinda.

We also started putting her in her Jumperroo. Grandma bought this for Reese and it is a hit.

Speaking of Grandma.....Scott and I went to Hawaii for a week and Grandma and Grandpa took care of Reese. We can't thank them enough. They had lots of bonding and I don't know who had more fun, Reese or Grandma.

Her noises are changing and we hearing something new every day. We love to listen to her talk.

She is now turning on her stomach every time we put her on her activity mat and starting to move around like an inchworm. Grandma caught her off her mat and under the TV cabinet a couple of times.

We are eating are feet now and doing the Baby Yoga Pose all the time.

Reese has brought so much joy and love in our lives. We thank our gracious Lord for her every day.
