Reese is 18 months old!! Time is continuing to fly by.
We went to the beach for Memorial Day weekend and July 4th and had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
We went swimming with floaties for the very first time in the pool. One minute she loves being in the pool and the very next minute she is done.... We went to the beach and Reese loved the sand. She could have sat for hours using a shovel and bucket. She concentrated so hard on filling up her bucket with sand. She also had a grand time in the ocean with Daddy. She sat on a boogie board and off they went!
Reese stayed with Grandma Boo and Grandpa the entire time while Scott and I were at a Condo on the beach (two minutes away (: )

She is very good at saying no.
She will throw a fit if she does not get what she wants.
She has learned how to hit if she doesnt get what she wants.....trying to break this habbit real quick.
She is still obsess with dogs and reading. We had to put a little stool up by the window so she could see outside and see if our neighbor's dog is on the porch.
She is helping with chores. She likes to throw our trash away and everytime she has a wet one she starts cleaning the floor, furniture, anything....
She tries to put on her shoes and socks and is a big help when we get her dressed every day.

She is going to bed around 8:30 and will go straight to her crib and try to get in.
She wakes up between 6 and 630 every morning and Scott and I take turns getting up with her : )

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house over Memorial Day. They bought Reese a sweet little desk filled with everything: Stickers, crayons, stamps, coloring books, notepads, etc. She was in Heaven. She loved her Elmo stamp and went crazy stamping everything including her face.
We had fun swimming. Reese is trying to get the hang of foaties. She still does not like water on her head and face. She also met a boy named Luke. She would not leave his side and shared everything she had with him.
That weekend she also got Baptised and she did so good!!!! Grandma Boo had a party for her afterwards and Reese entertained everyone. Everyone was in a big circle and she just went into the middle and starting dancing for everyone. She would run up to each person and give them hugs. She is a little show off and we love it!!!!! She is not shy at all. Sometimes she has to warm up and get to know you for a minute but then you are her best friend. We had such a great weekend and are looking forward to going back over the 4th.

16 Months

I cannot believe Reese is 16 months!!

What Reese is doing Now....
Little tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants...ha. She will fall on the floor and just start crying then will proceed to hit her head on the ground if we dont catch her ...now she has something to really cry about.
She is a little helper and love to put things away and close doors and drawers.
She is trying her hardest to jump as well as say the word. She climbs up on everything...no fear.
She can hang from a pullup bar (don't ask)..
The other day she pick up my cell phone put to her ear and just started talking into it. We asked her who she was talking to and she said "B" (what she calls her uncle).
She know where her bellybutton, head, ear, eye, nose, and toes are and where our are : )
She is still a silly dancer, waves to everyone, LOVES Elmo and is obsessed with Dogs
She is a giver and if she has animal crackers in her hand she will give them to everyone even the neighborhood dogs.
Today her friend Cooper was in the back seat with her why his mama and I bought and delivered supplies to help out the tornado survivors. The kiddos had a great time talking, sharing their snacks and drinks and sleeping. It was precious. I think Reese liked having someone in the back with her to chat with : ) I am hoping Cooper's vocab rubs off on her : )

15 Months

Reese now weighs 23 pounds and 13 oz (50-75%) and is 31-1/2 inches long (75-90%)!!
We had a fun day at the doctors getting THREE shots after a week of being sick with Broncilitis for the second time. Reese is a tough little girl.

Scott and I went to Rome for the week and Grandma and Grandpa got to take care of Reese.  Unfortunately, little girl was sick. They had a good time going to Chi k Filet after seeing the doctor for three days in a row!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH GM AND GM FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF REESE!!!!  She is doing great now and having so much fun being 15 months!!

New Words:

She has two more teeth poking though on the top and it looks like two are going to come in any day now on the bottom.

She is still miss sociable and waves and says hi and bye to EVERYONE.
We love her kisses and hugs and cannot get enough of them!!

She is also getting better with figuring things out quickly.  She shuts all the doors and closet. (she can open up Nana's doors.) She is starting to recognize shapes and colors. She loves her animals flash cards and still LOVES Elmo. She also tries to copy daddy working out in the gym.  She is trying her hardest to blow bubbles but not having much luck. She dances every chance she can and is quite the climber.  No fear!!

March 20, 2010
This weekend was shop until you drop weekend.  We are going to Rome, Itlay in a couple of weeks and realized we need clothes!! We took Reese to the Summit with us on Sat and then the Galleria on Sun.  I think she waved to at least 100 people : )  She waved to everyone she passed by and blew kisses. Scott thinks she can get a job being the Galleria Greeter !

I forgot to add her last blog update that she now has 4 teeth. Her top two front teeth came in a little before she turned 14 months.

The new word for the week is "Ball".  She is trying her hardest to say words after we say them.

14 Months

Our baby girl is now 14 months!!!
We have a doctors appt at 15 months so i will be sure to give an update on weight and height.  I will not be surprized if her height is off the charts.  (just like her daddy, uncle and Grandpa)!
She stepped on our scales the other day and it read 24 pounds.

What is Reese doing now....
  • She loves to go up and now DOWN our stairs ALL THE TIME.  She can do it by herself but is scares me so I make her hold my hand every time as well as hold on the the bars of the railing.
  • WORDS she says contantly: MAMA, Uh Oh (everytime she drops something), nite nite, she finally got the "o" down in Elmo (it use to be "ELM"), bye bye, dog, duck, kitty (sometimes but most animals are called DOG).
  • Sign Language: Please, Thank you, More more, all done, come here, food...
  • She loves to wave hi and bye and blow kisses.
  • We love when she gives us kisses and hugs and cannot get enough of them : )
  • She is helping put things away now at least what she wants to help put away.
  • She still wants us to read 50 books a day
  • She is starting to color
  • She is still dancing!!!
  • She is RUNNING
  • She can now get up into Daddy's chair and is great and getting off the bed and couch.
  • She climbs into her swing (little scary and I think it may be time to put it away).
  • She loves to watch ELMO and Seame Street!!!
  • TANTRUMS- Reese will now start crying and stomp her feet when she doesn't get what she wants. Scott calls it the Reese dance.  If we are holding her and she doesnt want to be put down (which is often) she will go limp and throw her head back and again start crying.
  • She DOES NOT know stop or no and will just smile and laugh at you when you say it.
  • She cries when Daddy yells at the TV when his Clemson Tigers are loosing.  It is going to be a long Fall Football Season this year HA!
  • She still loves to be held....thanks goodness!!
  • She is not shy and loves other kids.  It is so much fun to watch her interact with other kids!!!
  • Night time is a dream now.  She goes right to bed around 730pm and gets up at 600am. She will take one long nap in the afternoon form 12 to 230pm.
  • She likes to sing now too.  We have no clue what she is singing : )
Reese is such a sweet littl girl filled with so much happiness and joy!!! She does have her times when she will cry because she does not get what she wants. (Serious stubborness just like her mommy!) Fortunately she gets over it in a second (NOT like her mommy, but like her daddy!).
We are blessed above and beyond what we could have ever hoped for!!  This precious child has already given us more than a lifetime of love, laugher and happiness!!  GOD IS GOOD!!
