1st Time at the Pool

We love the pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time for Reese in the neighborhood pool. We put her in a float and she took off. I think she like the fact that she could actually walk in the float. She was just a chillin'!!!

We head to Myrtle Beach the end of the month and we know Reese will have a wonderful time!!

We can't wait!

Happy 5 Months Reese

Reese is 5 Months Old!!

It is amazing how fast the time is flying by......

Reese What we did this week:

Well, Reese came down with her first fever and cold, so we have had a lot of fun going to the doctor. Mom and Dad also got sick, so we all got to stay home for a week and have a lot of family time!!

Firsts:

We had our first road trip to Huntsville to visit Uncle B and his brand new beautiful house.

Reese went on her first walk-a-thon for the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. She got a rattle and quickly figured out how to shake it. See video : )

She is picking up toys and anything she can get her hands on. She is also switching toys from hand to another. She shakes everything to see if it makes noise like her rattle :)

She is holding her bottle and feeding herself at times and can sometimes get her paci in her mouth. (we are still working on getting the paci turned the right way.)

She is starting to sit up really well on her own.

What Reese is doing now:

She loves to sit up.

She is also loves to play with all of her toys.

She loves watching PBS in the morning. Some of her favorite shows are: Sid the Science Kid, Curious George, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Super Why and Baby Noah.

She is talking A LOT and giggles when we give her kisses and when she is dancing with daddy!

We think it wont be long before she starts crawling because she is constantly trying to get up on all fours and move around. The other day she was just moving around in circles. She has a lot more energy then her parents!

Mother's Day

The day I became a mom was the greatest day ever.....Jan 5th 2010. I can't imagine living my life without our precious Reese. She is the greatest gift and I thank the Lord every day for her!

We had a very special Mother's Day. My grandmother, "Memmy", Aunt Wanda, Uncle Gary, and parents came to visit for the weekend. My grandmother, Aunt and Uncle live in PA!!! They made a special trip by car to visit our sweet girl. for the very the first time. of course everyone fell in love with her and couldn't put her down. My Aunt and mom sang and danced with Reese and she just giggled non stop. Memmy got her a sweet pocket book that Reese will not put down. I think she is going to love to shop with her Mama!!

4 Months Old

Happy 4 months baby Reese!!

We had our 4 month check up with Dr Wilson on April 29th. Reese now weighs 14 pounds (75th percentile) and is 25 inches long (75th percentile). She is growing like a weed.

What we are doing now....

Reese started dayschool on May 3rd and absolutely loves it. She smiles at her teachers all the time. So far we have gotten a good report card everyday. The only concern the teachers had was that her diapers were a little snug : ) ha! So, now we are wearing a size 3 diaper... oops!

We started Rice Cereal this week. At first she didn't now what to think of it, but now she is liking it, kinda.

We also started putting her in her Jumperroo. Grandma bought this for Reese and it is a hit.

Speaking of Grandma.....Scott and I went to Hawaii for a week and Grandma and Grandpa took care of Reese. We can't thank them enough. They had lots of bonding and I don't know who had more fun, Reese or Grandma.

Her noises are changing and we hearing something new every day. We love to listen to her talk.

She is now turning on her stomach every time we put her on her activity mat and starting to move around like an inchworm. Grandma caught her off her mat and under the TV cabinet a couple of times.

We are eating are feet now and doing the Baby Yoga Pose all the time.

Reese has brought so much joy and love in our lives. We thank our gracious Lord for her every day.

3 Months Old - Happy Easter

Happy Easter!!

Reese is 3 months old today.

Thank you everyone for ALL the Easter goodies for Ms Reese!!!!!

Reese now weighs around 13 pounds (with clothes on) and is around 24.5 inches long. Our good friend Volree let us weigh Reese on her baby scale. Next Dr's appt is at 4 months.

What we did these week.....

• Our neighborhood had a Easter Extravaganza on Sat for all the children. Reese met the Easter bunny for the first time and build a bunny named Hippity Hoppity Floppy. We tried our hardest to get Reese to smile while sitting on the Easter Bunny. She didn't know what in the world was going on. Good news is that she did not screamed like the 3 year old that went after her.
• This week Mom went back to work, aghhhhhh.
• Aunt Heather came to visit and meet Reese for the first time.
• We went to Easter Service at the Church where Scott and I got married -- Riverchase Methodist. Reese was Awesome!! She just looked at all the people the entire time. All the gentlemen behind us argued who Reese was staring at.

What Reese likes these days....

• EAT! She is eating every 2 to 3 hours, almost 5 ounces.
• We lied on our last posting...... Reese is NOT sleeping 10 hours anymore. She is sleeping around 7 hours. We are going to bed around 9- 10ish and getting up for a feeding around 4 or 5. We love getting up to feed her though. She is so sweet in the night and it won't be forever that we can feed our precious baby girl.
• She plays for hours on her activity mat. She loves the crocodile her cousin Cristi bought her and the colored chains Nannie bought her.
• She loves sitting on daddy's lap at watching TV. She laughs and smiles more at the TV than anything else. She likes the Mentalist, The Office, and Dancing with the Stars. (video posted).

11 Weeks and growing....

Our sweet baby Reese is now 11 weeks old and we can't believe it. She is growing by the minute....
Things Reese really likes to do now are take baths and get her hair washed. Unfortunately, mommy and daddy don't do this as often as they should. She is also loving to stand up and play on her activity mat! She loves to grab on to things now (including mom's hair) as well and making tons of sweet noises. She loves looking at herself in the mirror and is trying her hardest to suck her thumb. She is smiling all the time now and it makes our hearts melt!!!
Mommy and Reese love taking a nap together every afternoon. Mommy is going to desperately miss this when she goes back to work NEXT WEEK!
We had our first ..... Reese slept through the night March 26th and 27th. Hopefully, this is a trend that stays!!!! The funny thing is that we put Reese down in her crib one way and she ends up turned 180 degrees. She is a mover and a shaker!!!
We are also trying to sit in our Bumbo that Grandma bought for us!
It is unbelievable how much joy and love this little girl is bringing our family!! We Thanks God every day for her!!!

2 Months Old

March 5th 2010
2 month check-up: weight 11pounds, 23 ¾ inches, head 15 inches
You are growing like a weed and do not fit into your newborn clothes anymore.

What we did this week....

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit!!

Firsts.....

Reese is recognizing us and we can't get enough of this!!!
8 weeks...First shopping trip with mom and grandma was to Target and Swaddle after lunch at Jason's Deli. She slept almost the entire time. She was wide awake at Target and did so good while everyone oooed and awed.
We also went to the park and daddy held her the whole time. First time she has stayed awake while outside.
At 9 weeks ....First trip to the mall for 6 hours!!!!!!!!! She slept the entire time while daddy held her in the orange Baby Bojrn. We did take a lunch break at Chikfilet and she smiled at all the people sitting next to us!!
10 weeks old……….We did our Taxes on St Patty’s Day . Precious Reese Slept through it all!!
At 11 Weeks March 26th..... REESE SLEPT THROUGH THE ENTIRE NIGHT!!!!!!!! (10-8:30)

What Reese likes to do.......
She now loves to play on her activity mat. She smiles at the octopus and holds onto all the toys!! She loves the colored chains Nannie got her for Valentine's Day.
She is very alert and likes to look around all the time!!
She LOVES to talk (like your mommy, Grandma, Nannie, and Great Aunts)
She loves to stand and holds her head up really well.
She is sucking on her hand and trying your hardest to suck her thumb. She almost has it !!
She also kicks so hard. She will be playing on her activity mat upstairs and I can hear her stomp the ground when I am downstairs in the kitchen. We wonder what her favorite sport(s) will be. She is incredible strong!!!!
She Smiles all the time now and makes the sweetes noises!!!!

We love to take long naps together every day!!!
